As co-founder and Managing Partner of Avrio Capital, Aki has the opportunity to address significant global issues through innovative technology and proven methodology. Along with Jim, Aki is a pioneer in AgTech venture capital, creating new opportunities for Canadian companies to grow and expand into new markets. Aki oversees the operations of Avrio, and has sat on the boards of more than 20 companies and associations, bringing his expertise in strategic planning, corporate development and shareholder value optimization.

Prior to Avrio, Aki was Managing Director at FCC Ventures, leading various investments with a focus on life science, food and agriculture. He brings an extensive history in both finance and food – as a Vice President at Deloitte Corporate Finance he led assignments in the agriculture, food, biotech and healthcare sectors, both domestically and internationally. Aki is a Chartered Professional Accountant with the Corporate Finance Specialization and a CFA charterholder.
